Rigatoni 2006 Red (Puglia), $11
It's the perfect pizza, pasta red wine; With a pretty palate of black cherry, blackberry, allspice and sun dried tomato's. Well balanced and very dry on the finish and for 11 bucks this can't be beat. Buy this one by the case, but drink up within the year.

is there a risk if you were to drink a wine now in 2009 when bottle is supposed to be best at that year? is this case rigatoni red (2006)

I bought two bottles last night at a grocery store who has it on clearance for $2.00 per bottle. Very good I think I will go tonight and buy 2 cases at that price.
Drinking just fine in 2010 too. A bit earthier in its present incarnation than it was a couple of years ago.
But still a nice wine.
